Fastenal and Winona Volunteer Services are collaborating on a drive-through distribution of approximately 1200 FREE food boxes to our community residents. These boxes contain produce, dairy and protein. This is “Round Five” of the USDA’s Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) Farmers to Families Food Boxes.
The USDA’s Agricultural Marketing Service partnered with national, regional and local suppliers, whose workforce has been significantly impacted by the closure of restaurants, hotels and other food service businesses, to purchase up to $3 billion in fresh produce, dairy and meat products.
This is a wonderful opportunity for us to help our farmers move their product to you. There are no income requirements and all are welcome.
