The WVS food shelf is switching to an emergency food distribution model on Tuesday March 24th. Any household needing food, who is income eligible, can receive a prepacked box of nonperishable food items plus dairy, meat, produce, bread and personal hygiene items as available by coming to 402 East Second Street during specifed times.
We are suspending the need for and use of food shelf cards during this time to encourage those newly affected by the COVID-19 virus to seek help with food from WVS.
Households eligible to receive this food should have income 200% or less of the Federal Poverty guidelines or participate in any federal program like MFIP, Child Care Assistance, General Assistance, Head Start, SNAP, Section 8, NAPS, Public Housing, WIC, Energy Assistance, Free and reduced breakfast and lunch or Weatherization.

Daily Food Distribution will start on
Tuesday March 24th from 10am – 1pm
Wednesday March 25th from 10am – 1pm
Thursday March 26th from 3pm – 6pm and
Friday March 27th from 2pm-5pm
Starting on Monday March 30, Daily Food Distribution will take place Monday – Friday 10am – 1pm only.
We have closed the WVS office to visitors so all other Requests for Assistance should be by telephone (507.452.5591) or email kayp@winonavs.org
during 9am – 3pm Monday – Friday.
We ask our Volunteers and Donors to use the loading dock entrance off Chestnut Street since the main office door will remain locked.
